Pig Scramble

Friday, July 4th
Time: 8PM
Check-in: 5:00-7:00pm– near upper food stand

The Pig Scramble is an event when children and adults chase after greased pigs in a round pen. Participants are encouraged to wear shoes. There is no cap on the number of participants per age group.
Please note that due to safety concerns, pre-registration is required! Registration will open on June 1st and closes on June 30 at Midnight.

If there are more than 25 participants per age group the participants will be split into two separate groups.

The divisions are boys and girls combined including 3 years and under, 4-11 year old have a division for each age year, 12-14, and 15-17.

Divisions are subject to change.

Pig Scramble Rules

Anyone rough housing with the pigs or other people will be disqualified
Any person who physically throws themself on a pig to hurt the pig will be disqualified
Absolutely no fighting
Absolutely no hopping the fence unless you are authorized personnel
If you’re asked to leave the pen, you will be disqualified
When a person has hold of a pig another person may not steal the pig unless the original person has fully let go of the pig○ one person per pig for prizes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
Person must drag or carry pig safely to the trailer in order to win prize
○ Wrapping two arms around the stomach or grabbing onto the legs with both hands is acceptable
Children 3 and under must be first to grab pig by leg or body to win
Updated list on age group will be on white board at the prize table
All children will exit in the same area by the winners table
Children 9 and under must be picked up by a parent at the prize table
Next classes won’t start until all children have been picked up from the exit gate and parents have exited the gates
We prefer if you wear shoes but it’s not mandatory
