Gate prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12.

New Haven Farm Tractor Pull

Rules and Regulations
1. Contest will be limited to field class tractors only. No tire chains, rear duals, four-wheel drives or front end
loaders allowed. No hand-cut or hand sharpened tires allowed.
2. ENTRY FEE of $15 per class.
3. Classes:
A) 0 – 6,000lbs.* 60 HP – 15.5×38 tire size **
B) 6,001 – 7,500 lbs.* 75 HP – 16.9×38 tire size**
C) 7,501 – 9,500 lbs.* 95 HP – 18.4×38 tire size **
D) 9,501 – 11,500 lbs.* 125 HP – 20.8×38 tire size**
E) 11,501 – 13,500 lbs.* 155HP – 20.8×42 tire size **
F) 13,501 – 17,000 lbs.* 180 HP – 24.5×42 tire size**
*Weight of tractor includes driver
**Tires must be of proper size or the equivalent. Formula to determine equivalent: (width x 2) + diameter
4. Drawbar height limit will be 21 inches. Minimum length of drawbar will be 20 inches from center of rear axle.
All tractors must use clevis with 3” x 3 ¾” opening or hitch with 3” x 3 ¾” opening allowing hook to swing free.
5. An open path of 12” wide above the point of hook is recommended to allow the workers adequate room to safely
hook and unhook the sled. Hanging weights on three-point arms is highly discouraged. If weights are hung on three
point arms or if a quick hitch is on a tractor, it CAN NOT be able to drop. It MUST be fastened mechanically to the
tractor (ie. chained to the roll bar, propped up with metal blocks) so that when the three-point arms are attempted to
be lowered from the operators station, they are safely supported by a secondary means.
6. A dynamometer will be used to check the top five pullers in each class. All tractors must have PTO shaft. All
tractors over 120 HP must have 1,000 RPM – PTO shaft. No tolerance will be allowed on HP. All hand throttles
and/or foot throttles may be checked for proper operation by judges at their discretion.
7. Removal of items such as hoods and other items which may create a safety hazard will not be allowed. All
tractors must use two front wheels.
8. All weights must be bolted or securely fastened to the tractor. Any loss of weights will result in disqualification.
Any front-end weight cannot extend more than 24 inches in front of the factory hood of the tractor.
9. Contestants must be 14 years of age to participate, contestants under 18 years of age must have written consent of
parent or guardian.
10. If a puller is not ready when their turn comes, they will be disqualified.
11. Unsportsmanlike conduct before, during or after tractor pull will mean disqualification, also forfeiture of entry
fee plus prize money won.
11a.m. to 3 p.m. – Sign-up and weigh in lower arena (All Farm, Open Farm and Street Stock Trucks)
3 p.m. – Farm Tractor pull begins (Open Farm Tractor pull directly follows Farm Tractor Pull)
4 p.m. – Street Stock Truck Pull begins
7 p.m. – Xcaliber Pulling begins

New Haven Open Farm Tractor Pull

Rules and Regulations
- Before a puller can enter a tractor in an Open Farm class, the tractor they are entering must first pull in a Farm
class and must be able to meet the horsepower requirements of that Farm class. The tractor must enter the same
weight Open Farm class as it does Farm class. The only exception is the 6,000 lbs. Farm Class tractors, they may
enter in class. - ENTRY FEE of $15 per class.
- Classes:
G) 0 – 7,500 lbs.* 8 MPH – 16.9×38 tire size**
H) 7,501 – 9,500 lbs.* 9 MPH – 18.4×38 tire size **
I) 9,501 – 11,500 lbs.* 10 MPH – 20.8×38 tire size**
J) 11,501 – 13,500 lbs.* 11 MPH – 20.8×42 tire size **
K) 13,501 – 17,000 lbs.* 12 MPH – 24.5×42 tire size**

**Tires must be of proper size or the equivalent. Formula to determine equivalent: (width x 2) + diameter - If a tractor is found to be illegal in the Farm pull, that particular tractor will not be able to participate in any Open
Farm Class. - The maximum speed will be recorded by the pulling sled. If the maximum speed is exceeded during the pull, a
horn will sound from the sled. Each puller has from the start of the pull to the 100 ft. mark to set their speed. If the
puller exceeds the maximum speed past the 100 ft. mark, the puller is then disqualified. Although, the puller can
continue to pull as long as there is an effort to meet the maximum speed, otherwise the pull will be terminated. - RPM limit of 3,000 RPM’s.

General Rules
• All drivers must be 16 years of age
• All trucks will be inspected, if deemed unsafe by pulling committee
they will not be allowed to pull
• No passengers in the vehicle
• All trucks must have a twisted clevis for the hitch, hole opening must
be 3.5 inches
• Pullers must be able to operate the vehicle safely and keep it under
control, no sled jerking
• Pullers are not allowed to consume alcohol prior to pulling
• Trucks will only be allowed to pull in one class
• All discretion and decisions regarding class placement of trucks is up
to Fair Board officials
